A review of Leicester’s most talked about up-and-coming house/techno brand, Full House, after their latest event smashed raver’s expectations with world-class DJ, Archie Hamilton, headlining the night.

Dark, groovy and intimate was the vibe at Full House’s most recent event on 31st January.

Located in the heart of Leicester underneath Sumo Nightclub in a dark, brick-exposed basement, ravers gathered for a night of mind-bending techno, spellbinding beats and relentless two-stepping.

Stripped-back and personal, the small venue kitted out with Full House’s trademark décor offered the perfect space for ravers to enjoy energetic sets from resident DJ’s InLikeFinn, Jes With One S and Rivmah, followed by a three-hour extended set from one of techno’s most sought out DJ’s, Archie Hamilton.

With Leicester’s nightlife crying out for a clamorous, quality techno event, Full House, bridges the gap in Leicester’s electronic music scene which is currently dominated by DNB events.

Archie Hamilton, a resident DJ at FUSE in London, is renowned for delivering world-class sets in international clubs and festivals and his signing with Full House introduces a new and exciting realm of techno to the city.

Established in October 2017, Full House, inspired by music giant Marco Carola, continues to blossom with each event as founder, Finn Murphy, explains.

“At the start, we had a very limited budget so we were booking friends and up-and-coming DJ’s and not putting very much into the lighting, sound or décor.”

Just over one year later, the team are now booking international DJ’s with huge followings, as well as improving their branding, lighting and sound systems.

“Our last event with Archie was mad. By far the friendliest and most crazy crowd we have ever had. Archie was incredible, he kept on playing past closing time until security tore him off the decks.”

If you haven’t already been to Full House, then you need to get involved in the movement that is bringing techno to the city. Their next event, on 23rd February, aims to be even bigger and better than ever before, hosting artists such as Mason Collective and Ki Creighton, there is no doubt it’s going to be massive.
